This extra special venue will serve as the setting for an overview of the mission and current efforts of the Red Sox Foundation.

SAM KENNEDY became President of the Boston Red Sox on October 16, 2015, succeeding President/CEO emeritus Larry Lucchino, and then was elevated to CEO in August 2017. As President, Kennedy has oversight over the club and its operations. In addition to his Red Sox role, Kennedy is also President and CEO of Fenway Sports Management (FSM), which he helped to create in 2004. Prior to assuming the role of club President, Kennedy served as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer from September 2009 to October 2015. One of Kennedy’s proudest accomplishments is the wide range of fans that have experienced Fenway Park’s unique charm due to the expansion of entertainment offerings at the ballpark including concerts, ice hockey games, and soccer matches.

BEKAH SALWASSER joined the Red Sox Foundation as the Executive Director in January of 2018. Bekah earned her B.A. in Psychology from Brown University and has brought her extensive experience in philanthropy and both professional and semi-professional sports to this prestigious organization. After four years working as Community Relations Director for the Boston Celtics, Bekah went on to lead Scholar Athletes as its Executive Director, a program that supports public high school athletes with both their athletic and academic achievements. Earlier in her career, Bekah served as a professional soccer player for the Boston Breakers and as Executive Director of the Charlestown Lacrosse and Learning Center.
